Ultimate Bowling offers 1 1/2″ diameter, non-woven abrasive discs in bags of 25 pieces and bags of 50 pieces.

Ultimate’s non-woven abrasive is a material similar to burgundy scrubbing pads. They have a hole bored in the center for quick and easy attachment to your bevel sander.

Non-woven abrasive discs cut fast, but not near as fast as sanding discs, making it easy to “fine-tune” a thumb or finger hole. Beveling holes in polyester balls is much easier with non-woven abrasive. Sanding discs will cut the softer material under the cover at a much faster rate than the harder, polyester cover.

Once you give these a try, you will end up with two bevel sanders: one with sanding disc attached and the second with non-woven abrasive attached.
